September SPECIALTY WORKSHOPS
Acting in sitcoms, comedy movies and Plays
This workshop is for people who aspire to act in television, film and theater comedies. Working with actual scripts from these genres, students will learn how to create performances which are both authentic and funny.
The workshop is taught by Ben Rosenfield. The hit TV shows Ben has appeared in include The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Twin Peaks, Mrs. America and Boardwalk Empire. The movies he has starred in include 6 Years (Netflix), Mark, Mary & Some Other People (Hulu) and A Most Violent Year (A24). His New York theatre credits include leading roles at Lincoln Center, The Public Theater, Roundabout and MCC. Ben is an ACI alum. Some say he bears a striking resemblance to ACI founder, Stephen Rosenfield.

Turing Stories into Stand-up Virtual WORKSHOP
This workshop is for people who want to turn their stories into original funny stand-up.
You’ll be guided through this process by Jay Yoder, a national touring comedian with the Bored Teachers Comedy Tour, public speaker, and Director of Operations at American Comedy Institute. Jay will guide you through a process that includes joke structure and punch up techniques and his feedback. His teaching is grounded in the principles of Mastering Stand-Up, the bestselling book by ACI founder Stephen Rosenfield.
